As a singer, it's important for me to take care of my voice, which is why I created this tea specifically with voice health in mind.
This tea helps in soothing the tissues in your throat, nose, and lungs, which also makes it work well when you've got a cold, flu, or bronchial issues. I've also found that it helps when my asthma flares up a bit (though please do consult with your healthcare practitioner before consuming any herbs for health issues).
Licorice root as an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergen, perfect for voice overuse, tiredness, or soreness.
Ginger root is an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. Further soothing the tissues of the throat.
Fennel seed aids in heartburn issues, allowing your vocal chords to not be affected by keeping stomach acid from coming up.
Marshmallow root is excellent at helping your lungs out. It will ease coughs, and help expel mucus and excess fluid. It will help to heal mucous membranes as well for better function.
Slippery Elm is another great ingredient that will help soothe dry throats, coughs, and the mucous membranes. It helps to create a coating on these membranes, allowing them to heal comfortably.
Lemon Myrtle is an anti-inflammatory and anti-infective, especially helpful with the nasal passage, soothing inflammed tissues. As an anti-inflammatory, it's also great at keeping your lungs soothed.
